01 — The problem
15–20hrs / week
The average UK adviser spends this on admin and compliance. Nearly half the working week.
4h 45mper letter
Average time to prepare one suitability letter manually across UK advice firms.
90 minper meeting
Typical write-up time after a client meeting, before a paraplanner can even start.
8%of the UK
Currently gets financial advice. The constraint on growing that is operational, not commercial.
Industry research, not our own measurements: IFA Magazine / Jigsaw Tree research on suitability reporting; AdvisoryAI whitepaper on letter preparation times; FCA Financial Lives Survey 2025.
02 — The platform
Every module docks into the same client record. Switch one on and it inherits everything the others already know.

03 — Capture
Everything captured here becomes structured data on the client record, not a PDF in a folder.
Records via phone, browser or a meeting bot. Summarises straight into your own templates. A live fact-find checklist flags what you've missed while the client is still in the room, and raises vulnerability flags from the conversation itself.
The fact find and the ideal-life questionnaire that turns hopes into modellable goals — completed by the client in Storyline or by the adviser in the meeting. Risk profiling surfaces the client's existing profile rather than duplicating it.
One AI reader, two document types. Pension ceding packs: charges, funds and transfer values, every figure grounded to its position on the page. Bank statements: spending habits, patterns and a full affordability analysis. No re-keying either way.
04 — Model
Three tools, one input: the client record that Capture already filled.
The base plan builds itself from the fact find. Goals come from the ideal-life answers, real spending comes from Excerpt, and the adviser adjusts a working draft instead of a blank screen.
Transfer figures flow straight from Excerpt into the calculation, and the output lands ready for the file. What is currently an hour of careful re-typing becomes a check and a click.
An active questionnaire that works through the client's estate position and recommends which trusts fit. Particularly powerful in legacy planning, where the right structure is the whole value of the advice.
05 — Advise, review & the workspaces
Two modules close the loop, and two workspaces show the same record from either side of the desk.
Suitability, transfer, trust and review letters built from whatever sits upstream — the fact find, the plan, the yield calculation. Standardised templates in the practice's own voice, with every figure traceable back to its source document.
Schedules the review, re-runs Parable with current values, records the meeting through Verbatim, issues the letter through Epilogue and files the evidence. Ongoing service, proven, every year, for every client.
The adviser workspace: prioritised work queues, SLA tracking, MI export and your process checklists running as live case stages across every case type.
The client's window on the same record: a timeline of their case, secure uploads, forms, and a message line to their adviser. What arrives here updates the record everywhere.
Not a subscription · always on · cannot be switched off
Every read, write, edit and approval is logged with who, what and when. Footnote is the layer the other ten modules sit on, which makes the evidence a by-product of doing the work rather than a separate job that can be missed.
06 — The naming
01
Who the client is, and the life they want.
02
The plan that shows how they get there.
03
The advice, confirmed in writing.
04
The next chapter, every single year.
Verbatim records it. Excerpt reads it. Critical and Testament test it. Parable plans it. Epilogue confirms it. Sequel repeats it. Casebook runs it, Storyline shows it, and Footnote proves it happened.
07 — What it saves
Today
11h 00m
Admin per advice case, done by hand across disconnected tools.
With Chronicle
1h 30m
Admin per case, before adviser review time.
At two new cases and four reviews a month, that is roughly a full working day returned to every adviser, every week.
Today's figures are industry research averages (AdvisoryAI, Jigsaw Tree, IFA Magazine). The Chronicle figures are working targets from live use in a working advice practice — they are our own measurements, not independently validated, and we would expect to re-base them on a pilot.
08 — Pricing
Casebook is the core every adviser has. Every other module is its own subscription on top. Tap a card to build your practice and watch the total.
